New Entries: welcome Marianne, Michelle and Enzo

IDOL wants to welcome our new employees to the group and help you get to know them a little better. Marianne Vandame joined the administrative team as a legal apprentice, Michelle Dalarossa came on board as a DSP Editorial & Partnerships apprentice, working on the promotion of our catalogue, and Enzo Le Brun joined as an apprentice to support the Digital Content Operations team in Digital Rights Management.
Marianne Vandame
What did you do before joining IDOL?
During my studies at Sciences Po Lyon, I decided to take a gap year between the first and second year of my masters, with the idea of getting my first hands-on experience in the music industry. That’s how, in December 2024, I worked on admin, publishing and production as an intern at Volta+, a label focused on developing contemporary music. That experience really marked the start of my journey.
Today, I’m continuing along that path through a work-study program at EMIC (École de Management des Industries Créatives et Culturelles).
What is your current job title?
I currently work as a legal assistant alongside Paul-Émile. Most of the time, we focus on drafting distribution agreements and amendments, mainly for digital releases but also for physical ones. It’s a really stimulating role, as no two contracts are ever the same, each one is specific to the different labels we work with.
Beyond contracts, the job actually covers a wide range of topics, from trademark law to European electronic signature regulations. A big part of the role also involves keeping our contract templates and tracking tools up to date, to ensure proper follow-up on legal documents, including deadlines, conditions to be met for advance payments, and more.
In short, there’s never a dull moment, and it’s a position where you learn an incredible amount every day 😉
What drew you to work with IDOL?
IDOL’s very diverse roster immediately drew me in, especially its rap catalogue, with artists like Népal, Jeune Morty, Jazzy Bazz and Houdi, as well as labels such as Don Dada Records. In an industry where independence is both rare and precious, IDOL manages to defend it successfully, and that really resonated with me. And of course, the role itself played a big part: I genuinely want to deepen my understanding of music contracts, and working on distribution agreements felt like a golden opportunity. I’m extremely grateful for it.
Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
At the moment, I’m taking drama classes and I really love it. I’m quite shy by nature, and it helps me step out of my comfort zone and do things I wouldn’t normally imagine myself doing. Playing different characters, delivering lines, and tapping into emotions you have to dig deep inside yourself to try and convey as truthfully as possible. Sometimes it’s challenging and takes a lot of work, but I’m really happy about it because it pushes me out of my comfort zone.
What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery?
Very recently, I discovered Gusko, a rapper from Lyon whose style and overall approach I really like. He just released a brand new project in collaboration with Jeune le Sérieux, Jeunes Affamés (hungry youth), and it was a real standout for me, a big favorite.
Michelle Dalarossa
What did you do before joining IDOL?
Before joining IDOL I was (and still am) working on a masters in communication and creative industries. I completed two internships as well, one at an advertising agency and the other at Integral, the distribution arm of [PIAS]. On the side I spent some time writing for the American indie rock magazine Under the Radar as well.
What is your current job title?
Currently I’m a DSP Editorial & Partnerships Assistant, working to promote our catalog through the digital streaming platform ecosystems and doing so both relationally and operationally.
What drew you to work with IDOL?
I was immediately drawn to IDOL because of the diverse international roster, with lots of artists I’m a big fan of, and because of the company’s independent aspect, which resonates with my personal values in relation to the music industry. Their technical expertise and the diversity of services they offer to artists and labels were also big reasons why I wanted to apply.
Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
I spend a lot of time going to concerts, but when I have time I love to collage with old magazines (National Geographics are the best) — it’s fascinating looking at pictures, articles, and advertisements from decades ago.
What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery?
I recently discovered the band bed bug guru. They just released their debut EP double scoop and the track ‘Bitter’ has been on repeat for me. I love the sludgey grungey shoegaze/slow core sound, plus they’re based in the Bay Area and even sampled a BART train ride. I grew up around there so it made me think of home.
Enzo Le Brun
What did you do before joining IDOL?
I completed a master’s degree in Marketing and Commercial Practices at IAE Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, alongside a work-study program at a subsidiary of a banking group specializing in automotive leasing. Wanting to shift my career toward the recorded music sector, I first joined IDOL as an intern in the Content team, which naturally led me to continue there today through a work-study program.
What is your current job title?
I currently work as a Digital Rights Assistant alongside Romain Bollini. My role focuses on ensuring the proper management of IDOL’s catalogue rights across all fingerprinting platforms (such as YouTube Content ID, Meta, etc.) as well as DSPs. My main responsibilities include handling claims and resolving ownership conflicts.
What drew you to work with IDOL?
I very quickly knew that I wanted to start my career in a human-sized company rather than a major, while still having an international dimension. IDOL immediately felt like an obvious choice, as it checked all those boxes. I was also really drawn to its technical independence, which I felt would be a great way to understand the core mechanics of digital distribution. Finally, the presence of labels I’ve been following for years like Don Dada and COLORS in the catalogue along with its overall diversity, really motivated me to apply.
Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
I’ve loved cars and the automotive world in general since I was a kid, and my favorite brand is Ferrari, probably because of my name! I also recently fulfilled one of my dreams by getting to drive one on a racetrack.
What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery?
It’s really hard to pick just one favorite discovery, as so many great releases have come out in the catalogue recently! But if I had to choose, I’d say Nina Versyp and her EP DAZY, released in March 2025. It’s a beautiful, very gentle EP with alternative pop/folk textures, special mention to the incredibly moving track Harmonium Blue, where she used the harmonium from the church in the small village where she grew up.
