Panel Discussion – June 9
As independent companies rethink their operating models, new approaches are emerging at the intersection of distribution, services and partnerships. IDOL is pleased to take part in this conversation on a panel entitled “The Modular Label: Distribution, Services & Partnerships”, taking place on Tuesday, June 9 from 11:15am to 12:00pm in Gotham III.
Moderated by Evan Whikehart, recently appointed General Manager of IDOL US, the session brings together Samantha Moore (President, SpaceHeater), Joanna Noyes (Senior Vice President, Global Marketing & Brand Strategy, The Orchard) and Brett Copell (Senior Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs, APG) to explore how modern indie labels are building more flexible and sustainable businesses – layering services, refining distribution strategies and structuring partnerships that support long term growth.
At a time when the independent sector is navigating increasing complexity, this discussion will highlight what is working in practice, how value is created across the ecosystem, and how companies can scale without sacrificing independence, flexibility or trust. From operational design to strategic collaboration, the session will offer concrete insights for those shaping the next generation of independent music companies.
