Rayen Gonzalez

What did you do before joining IDOL?
I worked for the PIAS UK team! I was part of the digital team, working across album campaigns such as Cigarettes After Sex, Nick Cave, Flume and many more.

What is your current job title?
I’m a DSP Editorial & Partnerships Manager based in the London office. I look after all the electronic DSP’s such as Beatport, Juno and Traxsource, as well as pitching across DSP’s for UK tracks and looking after the Asian territories from Japan, China to Korea across all DSP’s.

What drew you to work with IDOL?
Continuing to work in independent music distribution!

Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
I’m also a musician outside of IDOL – I released my first EP titled VERTIGO DREAMS in March this year, it’s a fusion of RnB, nu funk, electronic and latin influences.

What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery?
It’s not a new discovery but one of my favourite artists and a big inspiration for me, Rochelle Jordan, is distributed via IDOL with Young Art records so that’s pretty cool. Her album ‘Play With The Changes’ is incredible.

Camille Floch

What did you do before joining IDOL?
I was a label manager within the distribution department at [PIAS]. I oversaw the digital and physical releases of several labels, mostly from the UK, in France. For the bigger projects, I was also responsible for developing and launching marketing campaigns. I had the opportunity to work on campaigns for IDLES, PJ Harvey, Grian Chatten, and many others!

What is your current job title?
I am an International Marketing & Label Services manager. I am responsible for coordinating French and international releases, between the teams based in France and our various offices abroad (London, Berlin, New-York, Nashville, Los Angeles and Johannesburg). Basically, I have to ensure that the right information is properly communicated to the right people in order to optimize releases outside of France.

What drew you to work with IDOL?
I had been following IDOL’s news for a while, and I’ve always been interested in the company because, beyond its rich and eclectic catalog, it’s one of the last remaining truly independent players today. I’m thrilled to be part of the team now!

Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
I’ve been boxing for 5 years and took a 6-month break. I’m now looking for a new boxing gym, but I’m a bit nervous about getting back into it! If you have any recommendations, I’d be happy to hear them.

What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery ?
I discovered the Lambrini Girls, signed to City Slang, and really loved their songs, style and videos. I went to see them in concert at La Maroquinerie in February and it was great! Very energetic and committed! If you get the chance to see them, you won’t be disappointed!

Grégoire Tessier

What did you do before joining IDOL?
I was a digital marketing project manager at VS Com, a digital marketing and press relations agency specializing in the cultural sector.

My missions were diverse: setting up digital release strategies, community management, content creation, campaign launches… I was lucky enough to work on many different projects such as Mandragora, MPL, Orange Blossom, André Manoukian…

What is your current job title?
I joined the Audience team as Audience Development manager. Our role is to amplify the artists’ releases and presence on social networks. This involves preparing digital strategies, launching advertising campaigns, analyzing data using tools, especially Labelcamp, to detect and amplify trends.

What drew you to work with IDOL?
One of the first things that attracted me was the roster. Then the values that IDOL stands for, such as independence, excellence, transparency and teamwork, really made me want to join the company.

Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
Like many people at IDOL, I’m passionate about music. As well as listening to a lot of it (rap, shoegaze, metalcore, trip-hop, indie rock…), I love producing it. I mix phonk, trap and drum & bass under my alias OGee-T.

What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery?
My latest IDOL discovery is the Swedish artist Miynt, signed to the label B3SCI. She’s a truly talented artist with an enchanting voice, mixing alternative rock and dream pop.
