What did you do before joining IDOL?
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Montreal, I returned to Paris to pursue a Master’s degree in MIAGE (Computer Methods Applied to Business Management) at the University Paris Dauphine, a work-study program. I chose IDOL for these two years of apprenticeship. The adventure naturally continued with a permanent contract: I rejoined the team in January after a 3-month break, keeping the same position but with more responsibilities.

What is your current job title?
I am a Front-End Developer. My role primarily involves working on Labelcamp, in close collaboration with the back-end teams, responsible for Idolcamp, and with the design team. Concretely, this means designing and implementing new features, resolving bugs reported by users, and modernizing code that becomes obsolete over time. It is a position that mixes technical requirements and creativity, which makes it both stimulating and challenging!

What drew you to work with IDOL?
I’m passionate about music, and joining a company that puts technology at the service of independent players immediately appealed to me. This mix of a stimulating technical environment and the direct link with the musical universe suited me perfectly. And the first interview with the team confirmed that I could progress technically in an open, human, and creative company.

Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
DJing is my biggest passion. I received my first turntables for my 18th birthday, and that’s when I started to explore this fascinating discipline. My experience grew in Montreal when I had my first real gigs, and I continue to mix regularly since my return to Paris. It’s a passion that accompanies me every day and occupies an important place in my life.

What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery?
Recently, I came to love Jefre Cantu-Ledesma’s Gift Songs, released on Mexican Summer. The album opens with a 20-minute track, as emotive as it is immersive, that transports through a palette of subtle atmospheres. It’s a really nice surprise, and the whole album is just as captivating.

Paul-Henri de Casaban

What did you do before joining IDOL?
I completed an MBA in Music Production Management at ESG in a work-study program in Content Management at Wagram for a year, then I continued for a few months in the same position.

What is your current job title?
I am a Digital Content Operations Manager, which means that (with the entire content team) I ensure the availability of IDOL’s audio and video catalog on platforms.

This involves integrating new releases, as well as switching references when a label leaves a distributor to join us. We are, in a way, the link between the labels and the platforms, we strive to apply the platforms’ rules to our releases but also to advise and educate the labels on the new features they offer (such as the recent arrival of videos on Spotify).

What drew you to work with IDOL?
Even before applying, I had only heard excellent feedback about IDOL; that the work atmosphere was healthy and that the values promoted by the company were truly ingrained in everyone. I am very attached to the idea of working for independent companies, so when I saw the offer, I didn’t hesitate for a second!

Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
I am very nostalgic, so 3 years ago I decided to film 1 second of each of my days and then make a montage on December 31st. I did it mainly for myself at first, but I received a lot of feedback from people around me who were touched by the result and decided to do it too. It’s a bit like the evolved version of photo albums!

What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery ?
‘Mr LE FAIRE’ by Infinit’, because it feels good to hear a more raw rap project, full of guests who all fit together perfectly and which sounds like a spontaneous project.

Brayan Condori

What did you do before joining IDOL?
Before joining IDOL, I worked as an accounting assistant in a firm. I managed a varied portfolio of clients: from very small businesses like a restaurant, medium-sized businesses like a printing company or a construction company, to larger structures like a travel agency. This role allowed me to develop versatility, rigor, and reactivity, as I was responsible for bookkeeping, monthly statements, and account reviews for each client.

Today, I am delighted to bring these skills to the service of such a stimulating and creative world as IDOL’s.

What is your current job title?
I am an Auxiliary Accountant in the Finance Department. I am in charge of supplier accounting, which includes recording incoming invoices, such as general expenses and invoices to be paid on behalf of the labels. I also monitor advances to be paid to them.

Finally, I participate in the rebilling process, I respond to requests from suppliers, and I ensure the accounting reconciliation each month.

What drew you to work with IDOL?
After working in a firm, I wanted to change environments and discover how accounting works in a company. It’s a good challenge, and I think this experience will bring me a lot professionally.

What made me want to join IDOL is above all the kindness I felt from the first exchanges, as well as the very present human side in the company. I immediately liked the atmosphere: both professional, relaxed, and warm. It is this framework that I was looking for to continue to evolve and flourish at work.

Can you share a personal anecdote or hobby that you’re particularly passionate about?
Outside of work, I have a real passion for learning musical instruments. I like discovering new sounds and challenging myself technically. Right now, I’m focusing on the guitar, which I’m learning solo. It’s both a moment of relaxation and a great way to nourish my musical sensitivity.

What’s your latest IDOL musical discovery?
I listen to a lot of bachata, salsa, merengue, pop rock, cumbia… Recently I discovered the artist CANDELA with the track ‘No Me Callo’, released on the NUDA label.
