The band La Femme won the 2025 Sacem Export Repertoire Grand Prize, an award that highlights the quality of their creations and international influence.

Awarded by Sacem (Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music), the Grand Prix du Répertoire à l’Export celebrates the authors and composers whose work resonates outside of France. For La Femme, this distinction crowns a catalog that has carved out a unique place on stages and platforms worldwide, driven by an aesthetic that is both radically French and resolutely cross-border. This award coincides with a memorable concert of over two hours in a sold-out Paris Accor Arena, marking more than ten years of their career.

Accompanied by IDOL since their second album in 2016, La Femme has established themselves with a unique blend of styles including sixties rock, electro, rap, and French “chanson”.

“We have been working with La Femme for many years, and international development has always been one of their priorities. This Grand Prix du Répertoire à l’Export recognizes the work accomplished over all these years, notably through tours all over the world, as well as their entrepreneurial energy and creativity. We are very proud to support them, album after album, in this exceptional journey which today makes La Femme one of the most important French indie groups on the world stage.” Constance de Bosredon, Head of International – Marketing & Label Services.

From DIY to the world's biggest stages

Since their first steps on stage in 2011, the band has done multiple international tours and collaborations, with over 50 concerts in 14 countries throughout 2022, a presence at major festivals, and continuous expansion into different markets, particularly the United States, Europe, and Mexico. Over the course of their albums, the band has expanded its discography with linguistically exploratory compositions: after fanfare over Paradigmes, La Femme explored Spanish-speaking territories with Teatro Lucido, before tackling the English-speaking market with Rock Machine.

In recent years, La Femme has also seen its efforts rewarded with a series of certifications. Their single ‘Où va le monde?’ earned a gold certification in 2022, another milestone in a career full of accolades In 2023, their first album Psycho Tropical Berlin was certified gold, accompanied by two gold singles with ‘It’s Time To Wake Up 2023’ and ‘Sur la planche 2013’. In 2024, the momentum continued with a gold record for Mystère, their second album, and a gold single for ‘Elle ne t’aime pas’, confirming the durability of a catalog that stands the test of time.

By filling the Accor Arena in Paris, the band has crossed a significant threshold in its ascent to France’s biggest stage. This Sacem Export Repertoire Grand Prize places La Femme among the essential figures of French independent music internationally, proving that artistic freedom can rhyme with global success.
