Our labels’ anniversaries
In 2021, Kitsuné Musique returned to the IDOL catalog. This year, the cult label will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Among their latest releases it’s worth noting Khazali, Tim Ayre who released a track with Kraak & Smaak, and Matveï, who is included in the soundtrack of the Netflix series Emily in Paris.
The British label has just started working with IDOL, but the teams are looking forward to the future releases of La Yegros, Lord Echo and Bomba Estereo. Founded 20 years ago, Soundway Records is famous for its compilations of African, Caribbean and Latin American music among others, much sought after by music diggers.
Robert Raths’ label is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. To start the year on a high note, Erased Tapes has announced an event for February 25th. Roedelius and Tim Story have prepared 4 Hands, a magical four-handed score, for the first time with Erased Tapes.
That said, the year 2021 was already quite busy with the noteworthy releases of Rival Consoles, Peter Broderick, Ólafur Arnalds, Masayoshi Fujita and a live album by Nils Frahm.
The label will celebrate 15 years of activity in 2022 and start this year with the release of the album Hymne au Soleil by Laurent Bardainne & Tigre d’eau douce out January 28, including a track featuring Bertrand Belin.
